July 2025 – Launch the New Financial Year Successfully

  • 14 July – Finalise Single Touch Payroll (STP) for most employers

  • 21 July – Lodge and pay your June monthly BAS and PAYG instalments

  • 28 July

    • Superannuation contributions for the June quarter must be received by the fund

    • Lodge June quarter BAS (if not using a tax or BAS agent)

    • Lodge your Victorian annual payroll tax reconciliation

  • 31 July – Lodge Victorian Long Service Leave levy return (for applicable industries)

Tip: Finalising STP promptly ensures your employees can access their income summaries without unnecessary delays.


August 2025 – Focus on Reports and Superannuation Compliance

  • 7 August – Lodge and pay July Victorian payroll tax

  • 14 August

    • Lodge PAYG withholding annual report (if not using an agent)

    • Lodge Employee Share Scheme report

  • 21 August – Lodge July monthly BAS

  • 28 August

    • Lodge June quarter BAS (if using a tax/BAS agent)

    • Lodge Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR)

    • Lodge Superannuation Guarantee Charge statement (if superannuation was not paid on time)

September 2025 – Time for Strategic Review

  • 7 September – Lodge and pay August Victorian payroll tax

  • 21 September – Lodge August monthly BAS

  • 30 September

    • Lodge TFN withholding report (for closely held trusts)


October 2025 – Quarter-End Obligations

  • 7 October – Lodge and pay September Victorian payroll tax

  • 21 October

    • Lodge September monthly BAS

    • Lodge and pay September quarter PAYG instalments

  • 28 October

    • Lodge September quarter BAS (if not using an agent)

    • Superannuation contributions must be received by the fund

    • Lodge TFN withholding annual report

  • 31 October

    • Final deadline to lodge overdue tax returns

    • Lodge PAYG withholding report (for payments to foreign residents)

    • Lodge TFN report for closely held trusts (if applicable)

    • Register with a tax agent to qualify for extended lodgement deadlines for your 2025 tax return

Important note: October represents one of the year's busiest compliance periods. Plan ahead and avoid last-minute lodgement stress.


November 2025 – Maintain Momentum and Stay Current

  • 7 November – Lodge and pay October Victorian payroll tax

  • 21 November – Lodge October monthly BAS

  • 25 November – Lodge September quarter BAS (if using a tax/BAS agent)

  • 28 November – Lodge Superannuation Guarantee Charge statement (if first quarter superannuation payments were missed)


December 2025 – Complete Year-End Requirements Before the Break

  • 1 December – Income tax due for large and medium companies and superannuation funds

  • 8 December – Lodge and pay November Victorian payroll tax

  • 21 December – Lodge November monthly BAS

  • 31 December – Victorian land tax year concludes
