2022 FY Practice Improvement

I am delighted to announce that Ruby and Melody were made Senior Associates of the practice on 30th June 2021. Their advancement within the practice is deserved recognition for their dedication and commitment, and for their splendid individual contributions to practice success and achieving positive client outcomes in a friendly and efficient manner, since joining the practice in 2013. Ruby is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and Melody a fully qualified Certified Practising Accountant, so both have the necessary knowledge, experience and qualifications to offer additional points of contact to myself in satisfying client’s needs for professional advice.

Practice improvements

The practice has committed to investments in new technology that will deliver new and improved services to our clients re:

The practice has invested in new online booking facility called Calendly. This will allow clients to check online for a suitable time and date and book appointments (zoom only during the COVID period) online. Clients wishing to make face to face appointments or who cannot find a suitable zoom appointment time online will still need to contact us by telephone or email. The link to our booking page is .

The status of our association with Xero is now a Silver Partner. This enables our clients to benefit from a 15% discount on their subscriptions, and enables us to assist them with day-to-day operations through having greater line of sight and understanding of their business transactions, and enables us to seamlessly move clients over from other software packages so that they have the benefit of comparative period analysis. Clients will also benefit from XeroSign, to electronically sign tax returns and other documents and return to us in an easier process.

We have made enhancements to our TaxExpress services that enable mostly individual taxation return clients to send us their end of year tax return information through an interactive format online. We will be investing more into this facility as we transitioning to an even more interactive format.

The practice has committed to an investment in new BGL – SuperFund 360 software. Adoption of this advanced software will reduce the amount of source documentation and explanations that super fund clients will need to provide to us each year, and enable us to provide trustee and members with enhanced documentation relevant to their fund investments.

In response to requests from clients, we will be streamlining the covering letters that are sent to clients which accompany their completed end of year accounts and tax returns. The summarised format will make it much easier for clients to get a snap shot of their end of year tax position, become aware of specific things that impacted on their financial accounts and returns, and be made aware of things they can do to improve their result going forward.
